Question
I'm a AT&T customer but love the Samsung Omnia i8000. The phone has the 3G HSDPA 900/1900/2100 bands. With the phone only supporting the AT&T 3G 1900 band and not the 850 band as well would I still be able to get the 3G speeds out of it?

Answer
In an area where AT&T runs 3G on the 1900 frequency, yes. AT&T started up their 3G network on the 1900 frequency, but has expanded to the 850 frequency as well, so if there is an area where they use 850 for 3G, then no. And any area where they use 850 for anything, you will not get service. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
