Cellular Phones/phone volume

Question
I have a LG UX 300 phone from US Cellular. I often have problems hearing conversations. I have the volume all the way up but this doesn't help. My daughter has the same phone and also has the same problem. Is this the phone, server, or what? How can I find a good cell phone so that I can hear conversations?

Answer
If both you and your daughter are having the same issue, it is very likely the fault of the phone. Take the phones to US Cellular and ask them if there is a firmware fix for this problem. If the phones are under 1 year old, they should fix or replace them for you. It is likely that there was a batch of these phones that were defective that is causing this problem or that the firmware needed patching. There aren't really "servers" when it comes to cell phone service. I think you may be asking if it is a network issue. That's not likely. Hearing the caller on the other end would relate to the phone itself, so I would recommend taking the phones back to US Cellular right away. You may also want to try using a headset to see if this improves the issue. If it does, then this indicates that the problem is with the phone's speaker for internal calls. I hope this helps. Thanks.
