well i have a sidekick 08 from t-mobile and since 10/1/09 a thursday mine and alot of people in my school , there sidekicks have no service it only shows the two dots and we can only text and make calls ive tried the soft restart, took out the battery and sim card an placed it back also, took of the airplane mode off and on and nothing seems to be working?

Answer
T-Mobile has been upgrading their network all over the country recently, moving to 3G, and it is very likely that on Thursday, they made a change to the network where you and other friends of yours at school have service. If you have no service, then you wouldn't be able to make calls or text, so is the problem that you can't use the data network? I would suggest that you or your parent (whoever has the T-Mobile service in their name) call T-Mobile and check with them to see what is going on where you live and see if they can check into what is going on for you. It's likely that they only need to make a minor change and then you should be be okay, but before you do that, try pulling the battery out of your phone one more time and see if it clears up (since now that a few days have passed, they may be done with their work)and if it doesn't, then call. Just know that when multiple people in an area have problems, it's not about the phone, it's about the network coverage with their wireless provider. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
