Cellular Phones/SMS to email

Question
Hi, i was going to sign up for something when i noticed it required me to give away my cell phone number and i know i will just get spammed. Is there a way to give them a phone number that leads to my e-mail? Just like an SMS gate but i need to give them a number.
Thanks lots!!,
Jacob

Answer
Unfortunately, there isn't. If they need a cell phone number for you to sign up because they have to send you a text, then you have to give that to them. If they need an email, then you can just give them your email address. Your cell phone's MMS email address still starts with your phone number so if you have to give them a phone number and it has to be legitimately yours, there is no other way around this, I'm afraid. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
