Question
I ported my att wireless number over to metro pcs yesterday and metro pcs says everything has been successfully ported over. I can make calls from my metro phone and receive calls from other cellular phones, but it seems like when somebody is trying to call me from a landline or 7 digit dial me, It doesn't happen. The message they receive is that my number is not a working number and to check the number and try again. Metro pcs says they are looking into it. Any ideas?

Answer
Make sure that your old AT&T phone is turned off. Then turn off your MetroPCS phone. Wait a few minutes and then turn back on your MetroPCS phone. You should then be able to receive calls. Be sure that when people call you, that they are dialing the full phone number (from a landline, a 1, then area code then 7 digit number) and from a cell phone, the area code and number. If you can call out but people can't call you, that means that your port is not fully completed and that is likely because your AT&T phone is still on. If you owe money to AT&T, you will have to pay them before your port will be completed. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
