No, the 8703 BlackBerry is a CDMA device. Do not purchase this device if you use a SIM card. The 8700 that works with a SIM is an 8700. The device should be branded by AT&T or T-Mobile if you want to ensure it is a GSM device. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
