Question
Hi, nice day here, nice there? my daughter was 4 weeks in a hosp where she had to shut off her phone. when she was released there werent any text msgs. should have been dozens. she wondered if tmobile automatically deletes unopened text msgs after a period of dormancy. Could you tell me? Thank You. Bob

Answer
Bob -

Nice day here, as well. T-Mobile deletes text messages that were not deliverable (i.e., the phone was turned off or out of range) after 30 days. Messages that were sent less than 30 days ago should show up. The carriers all do this because they don't have the capacity to retain them. Some delete them after 14 days without delivery, but most are around 30 days. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
