Cellular Phones/Alltel HTC Touch to AT&T?

Question
I have an Alltel HTC Touch that I really love using.  Once Verizon took over Alltel, the rate plans changed and I decided not to renew my contract.  I moved over to AT&T but I HATE the phone they gave me free with the account.  Can I use my Alltel HTC Touch on the AT&T network?

Answer
Unfortunately, you can't use a CDMA phone on a GSM network so you will not be able to use your HTC device with AT&T. However, AT&T sells several HTC phones. I am hoping that you have only had your phone less than 30 days, because if you have, you can return the free phone you got and exchange it for an HTC device. If it's been over 30 days, you won't be able to get a new phone from AT&T directly, but if you buy one on-line, as long as it is AT&T branded, it will work without issue. I hope this helps. Thanks.
