Cellular Phones/PDA phone

Question
I am with AT&T...no longer bound to contract.  Is there a way to get a phone that has both PDA capabilities (calendar/contacts that syncs w/Outlook) and good call quality.  I am a grad school student and my old Visor has long since died.  I simply want a phone and a PDA in one, without paying $30 for a data plan I would never use.  I don't need e-mail or Internet on my phone...just a good organizer that syncs with Outlook and good voice quality.  I currently use a Nokia 6555 and am happy with this phone except for the lack of a detailed organizer.  Thanks for any insights you have.

Answer
It has only been in the last few months that AT&T requires both a data plan with any Smartphone or PDA type of device (minimum of $30). Only if you buy a PDA from a third party will you be able to use it how you would like. If you buy it from AT&T, the day plan will be required. All the Blackberrys can easily be synched with Outlook and are easy to use for calender, contact etc and the software is free. If the device is AT&T branded it will work with your current SIM. I would recommend the Curve or Pearl (if you want a sleeker device). I hope this helps. Thanks.
