Cellular Phones/Voicemail Options for Business

Question
I started a business several years ago and listed the main number as my cell phone number.  My business has grown to where I cannot spend all day on the phone.  I do have a secretary that is very good at answering the calls.  I do not want to pass out my new number to all my customers and would like the option of her forwarding the calls to my phone number.  Is there a system that will allow this?

Answer
You can definitely forward your calls without any issue. My question is do you want all the calls to be forwarded or just some of them and do you want her to answer your old cell phone calls and then forward some calls to you? If she is answering your cell calls on your old cell phone, when she gets a call for you that she wants to pass onto your, she just needs to to conference you in and then drop on her side. But in all honesty, if I were you, I would think about porting your old cell phone number to a landline for her to answer and then she can forward calls to your cell phone when she wants to or you want her to. If this isn't an option, based on your carrier, there are services that will allow you to forward and follow and use one number to give to clients but answer or call back out on a different number. It's based on your carrier, but you can check with them to see if they offer this service. It's not about voice mail though, this is a service for forwarding calls as well as voice mail. Let me know if you need more info and who your wireless carrier is. Thanks. DebiN
