Question
Hey-  It's a new LG Neon W/ AT%26T GoPhone. I just found my presumably lost 7 year old cingular version of witch that contains my now deactivated Sim Card containing several hundred phone numbers that I wish to somehow copy to the new phone.  It's a (cingular 64k smartchip).  Is there any way that I can copy this onto my newer, already activated phone?

Answer
By default, contacts are saved to the phone, not the SIM card. Are you positive that the contacts are actually on your old SIM or are they on an older phone that you had? You may want to check to be sure. If they are on the older phone, you can take your new SIM, put it into the old phone, copy the contacts onto the SIM and then put the SIM back into the new phone and copy the contacts onto the new phone. If you have validated that the contacts are on the old SIM, the only way to get them off of the old burned (deactivated) SIM is typically with a SIM card reader or you can take it to an AT&T store and see if their equipment can read the old SIM (they have readers also) and then they can copy the contacts to your new phone. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
