Cellular Phones/3G coverage

Question
I have to decide between a Nokia N97 or a Samsung Omnia HD.  My carrier is AT&T and my issue is 3G.  The N97 runs on 850/1900/2100.  So, I know that it will run on AT&T and in Europe.  The Omnia HD runs on 900/1900/2100.  So, I believe it will run on AT&T in in Europe.  But, I recently read an article that said that AT&T was moving it's 3G to 850 only.  Is there any truth to that?  Should I be concerned?  I buy a new phone every 12-24 months.

Answer
Jean, att uses mulitple bandwidths for 3g coverage.  even if they were going to move to just 850 there's 2 problems.  one, they will need to increase the capacity of that frequency which gets the fcc involved and is lengthy.  the other is you will be on your next phone by the time they got that even started. so you are all good.
