Question
Can a T-Mobile (unlocked) 8700 Blackberry use a ATT 3G sim card ? When I put in sim it says invalid sim . I currently have an ATT account.

Thanks

Answer
It sounds as though the T-Mobile BlackBerry is not SIM unlocked. If it shows Invalid SIM, it means that the device is not able to recognize the SIM and is locked to T-Mobile. Did someone tell you that the BlackBerry was unlocked? I ask because I don't believe it is. Also, the 8700 is an old BlackBerry. I wouldn't bother with this device at all. I strongly recommend you buy an AT&T branded BlackBerry. A BlackBerry will not work unless you get one from your carrier and you get a BlackBerry data plan added to your account. I hope this helps. None of this has anything to do with a 3G SIM card. An AT&T SIM works in any GSM phone that is branded by AT&T or unlocked. Thanks. DebiN
