Cellular Phones/4g

Question
Is the new 4G sprint promoting only going to affect its internet speeds? How will it compare to AT&T's HSDPA? Will it make sprints voice coverage or voice quality any better?

Answer
The internet speeds will increase in areas where Sprint puts the appropriate bandwidth. The technology is one thing, but the backhaul is another. How will it compare to AT&T's 3G speeds? It all depends on the area and what is really there (for both companies). There isn't going to be a hard and fast answer to this regardless of what you may hear to the contrary. I dont' believe that voice quality will improve and I definitely don't believe coverage will improve. Sprint only owns so much spectrum and this won't charge regardless of what generation of network they have. This 4G is not really true 4G and they need a device and network that are compatible for it to work properly. It's not going to happen anytime soon. Don't be taken in by the hype. It's just hype. Hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
