Question I was reading your previous answer regarding the LG G4011 phone. I have Cingular plan and have been with them 3 years. I had this "Go Phone" with them previously.
I took my current SIM card out of my phone and put it into the LG. It says "Phone Restricted" and is asking me for a code. Do you know how to get the code?
I prefer this phone when I go to work out. It is small and will fit easily into my pocket. I don't have to worry about it if something happens to it. It is a pretty durable phone. The battery has been charged 1 year without being used, and is still charged! I would like to switch the SIM card back and forth according to my needs. Thank you in advance for your answer.
Answer Your GoPhone is SIM locked to an AT&T GoPhone (prepaid) SIM card and your current SIM is a post-paid SIM card. You will not be able to use your SIM card in your GoPhone, unfortunately. If you had two phones from AT&T (same company as Cingular) and both of them were post-paid phones, you could accomplish what you are wanting to do. But unfortunately, since one of the ones is a prepaid one, this isn't possible. The only way to use this phone with your current SIM is to get it SIM unlocked. AT&T won't SIM unlock a prepaid phone, so you would have to pay someone to do this (around $30.00 to $40.00). I don't recommend anyone and you would have to find someone on line typically to do this. Unfortunately, it's the only way. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
