QUESTION: I have a motorola v3r. I sent it to get unlocked. They unlocked my phone but now the loudspeaker doesnt work for any reason. Everything else does. The earpiece still works. What is wrong with it? How can I fix it?

Answer
When they "unlocked" the phone (flashed it is what they actually did), they evidently didn't use the proper firmware image (which could have been because your carrier doesn't sell this model of phone or perhaps because they didn't know what they were doing), but either way, they have now disabled the speaker phone. You can't alter the settings of a CDMA device and there isn't anything that you can do to fix what no longer works. If they guarantee their work, send it back and tell them that they have disabled the speakerphone. I would be very surprised if they can fix this. I strongly recommend against flashing CDMA phones unless your carrier sells the exact same model of phone. What happened to you is what happens oftentimes when phones are flashed. Not great news, but I hope it helps. Thanks. DebiN
