I am very familiar with the individual devices and their specifications. I can also answer questions regarding BlackBerrys, iPhones and other PDAs, both Palm-based and Windows-based. Question Carrier is At&t, phone is a sony w580i. We are unable to send and receive mms. I
have gone to the Sony Ericsson site and had the settings sent to the phone, and
followed the directions for setting the phone to send and receive mms. Is it just
not possible to do since we didn't buy the phone from AT&T? AT&T says since
we didn't buy the phone from them it isn't compatible, is this true?
Answer Whether or not you bought the phone from them really doesn't matter. If the WAP and MMS settings for AT&T have been programmed into your phone, you should be able to send and receive MMS messages. If the phone was branded for another company and those settings are locked in, this would cause you not to be able to access your messages. Who is the phone branded by and have you put in AT&T's settings? Thanks. DebiN
