Cellular Phones/Verizon to Verizon texting

Question
I have Verizon, if somebody from Verizon sends me a text message, do I still have to pay the 15 cent fee?  Because I've gotten conflicting information on this.

Answer
Here are the facts, so you don't have to worry about conflicting information. If you have a text messaging plan from Verizon that allows for In texting, then texts between you and other Verizon subscribers are free, but not all text plans have In (on-network) free texting. Most actually don't. My suggestion is that if you want this text feature, then contact Verizon and change your text package to one that has free In texts and 500 non-In texts. This plan is $9.99 a month. And by the way, if you don't have any text package at all and are paying by the message, the cost is actually $0.20 a text. If you don't have a package, then I can 100% guarantee you that you are paying for every single text sent and received regardless of who sent it. I hope this helps. thanks. DebiN
