Cellular Phones - blackberry storm dual sim

Expert: DebiN - 7/9/2009

Question
how does the dual sim adapter work and can it be used with
veriazon and at&t at the same time

Answer
There is no dual SIM adapter in a BlackBerry Storm. The Storm works on both the GSM and CDMA networks and with this device, it does actually have the capabilty of working on the US GSM network. However, if you get the device from Verizon, it is locked to Verizon. If you get an unlocked device, it will work with an AT&T SIM card. But what you can't do is use the device in the US on both the CDMA and GSM networks at the same time. It will either work with Verizon or work with AT&T, but not both at the same. Absolutely no way to do this. The intent is to use it with a SIM card for outside the US and on CDMA with Verizon in the US. I hope this helps and I'm sorry if you were led to believe that you could use it with both AT&T and Verizon at the same time. There are no phones that will work on two networks in the US at the same time with two different numbers. It is not possible. And not possible of course with one number since the number belongs to one provider. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
