Expert: DebiN - 7/4/2009

Question
Hi i have a lg rumor with a 2.5 mm, and I wanted to know how I could connect it to my car. My car is a mitsubishi 2001 montero, that has CD. It also has the charger in the bottom.
                              Thanks

Answer
You won't be able to play music from your cell phone through your car's speakers unless you get a device that will allow you to do this. They make them for iPhones (and iPods, of course), but I'm not aware of any for other devices. It's not based on the type of car you have, it's really based on the connection types and I am not aware of any device that works with other types of phones. The way these work is that one end goes into your car charger and then you tune your radio to an empty station and the device to the same station. Then that device plugs into your phone and will allow you to play music through your phone. As I mentioned, this is used for iPhones and iPods and MP3 players, but I'm not aware of any company making one of these that has a connector for any other type of cell phone (other than the iPhone). Belkin makes the one that I have seen for the iPhone. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
