Question My hubby's behold has water damage and we can't use the touchscreen. If the touchscreen worked, then we could use the phone, we think. Does that meen the sim card is ok? We are trying to buy a gravity on-line, but we weren't sure how to tell if his sim card is working since my phone doesn't take one. Any advice and what do you think about the gravity. We are staying with the same carrier t-mobile.
Answer Even if for some reason your SIM card was damaged (which most likely it is not), all you would have to do is go to his carrier (T-Mobile) and have them replace the SIM card. All they do is swap the SIM card number in their system and that moves his number to a new SIM. You can't get a SIM from anyone except your carrier, but they shouldn't charge you for it if the SIM is damaged. You can use a Samsung Gravity phone and this one is from T-Mobile, so all you will have to do is move your SIM from the old phone to the new phone. If you buy it from T-Mobile, they may provide you with a new SIM then all you have to do is call to activate the new SIM. It's no big deal either way and very simple. I don't have particular advice about the phone. It's really personal choice and there are so many phones out there that I don't really dive too deep into any of them. What I always recommend, however, is that you buy a phone from your carrier (not a third party) since if they sell it and brand it, it will work on their network, is under a 12 month warranty and they can troubleshoot it if there is a problem. You are doing that, so that is a good thing. If you like the way the phone looks and feels and it does what you need it to do and the price is right, then it's a good choice. That's my best advice. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
