Cellular Phones/tmobile voice mail message in other country

Question
I will be visiting Jamaaica, and  will take my Tmobile phone with me, I wanted to know If I am on another network (digicel). Will the person call me hear the digicel voicemail message saying caller not avialble or will they hear my normal voicemail message?

Answer
If you have an unlocked T-Mobile phone and you are planning on getting a local Jamaica phone number on the Digicel network when you arrive in Jamaica, then when someone calls you, they will have to call the phone number that has been assigned to you by Digicel. If you are using your US SIM card from T-Mobile and are roaming in Jamaica, then they will hear your voice mail when they call you and you are not available. No matter where you go in the world, if you are roaming, i.e., using your US phone number in another country, it's always, 100% of the time, your voice mail that they hear. The voice mail goes with your phone number and carrier, not where you are located when someone calls you. I hope this helps and let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks. DebiN
