Question
I'm wondering how I can connect my Blackberry Curve to my wireless router to set up a Home Network.  I'm currently using the sprint cell phone as a modem connected directly to my desktop but want to allow service for my laptop and beable to use my wireless printer also.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Aaron

Answer
With the Curve being used as your modem, you are using Sprint's network not your home network to access the internet. If you want to use your home network, you don't need the Sprint device. If you are trying to make Sprint's network wireless so that you can use other devices, the answer is that this is not possible. In order to use a wireless router, you have to have a hard wired connection to the internet, i.e., DSL or cable modem. And then the wireless router plugs into that box or connection to allow for wireless. Your BlackBerry connected is already wireless, using Sprint's wireless network. You can't tap into that to have further wireless or multiple connections. It is a single connection to Sprint's network. You will need to pay for internet access at your home in order to use your laptop and wireless printer. If you recently stopped doing that to use the Sprint connection instead, then you would need to find an alternative source for using your laptop and printer or you would need to use them one at a time with your BlackBerry tethered. You will not be able to have simultaneous devices with the Sprint BlackBerry as your modem. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
