Question
I was wondering if there is a way to trace a call that was made on a cell phone? I am wanting to find out who the person is that is making the call. I have the number with no name, just the location. Cells phones seem to be untracable with paying for the information that is often not helpful. Can you help??

Answer
In some states, when a cell phone calls you, it will display caller ID on your landline phone. But if the calls you receive are on your cell phone, then no caller ID name is passed anywhere, ony the number. There is no way to trace a cell phone caller to find out the name. That information is 100% private today and even though some companies state that they can get that information for you, it's actually illegal. The most you can get is who the owner of the number is and that is only the carrier, since the carrier owns the number, not the user. The numbers belong to the carriers. If someone tries to trace the number, the most they will find is who the wireless carrier is, not any additional information. Sorry that I didn't have better news for you. Thanks. DebiN
