Cellular Phones/Replace CellularOne Cell Phone

Question
Hello Debi N,  I have an old phone plan that CellularOne offered before ATT took over. ATT will let me keep the old plan, but I need to replace my Nokia 6103 cell phone as it will no longer charge properly.  I can purchase an ATT phone at full retail and they will unlock it, but the retail price of their phones are very pricey.  Please tell me where I can purchase a phone that I can just move my sim card into and it will work.  Thank you.  Cheryl

Answer
You can purchase any GSM quad band SIM unlocked phone and it will work with your CellularOne SIM card. People sell them on line and you can get a much better price. If you can find a phone that is US (branded by AT&T or T-Mobile) that would be your best bet. You may even be able to find a CellularOne phone and if you do, it doesn't even have to be unlocked since it will work with your current SIM card. Just make sure that the phone is quad band (and specifically works on the 850 and 1900 bands) and is SIM unlocked if not branded by CellularOne and GSM and you should be fine. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
