Cellular Phones/Smart Limits

Question
QUESTION: I have smart limits from at&t for use in blocking certain numbers. I am getting texts from these numbers and think they are using the send a text feature at&t offers.  Can someone use this service and send me a text even though I have their number blocked?

ANSWER: I would suggest checking with AT&T and letting them know that people on the blocked list are sending you text messages. If the texts are coming from exactly the numbers that are blocked, then they shouldn't be, but if they are coming from other numbers, that is a different story and those wouldn't be blocked. If a number is blocked, it shouldn't come to your phone regardless. Are these the exact same numbers? You can show this to AT&T (they can see the numbers on your bill, so you can prove it this way) and I'm sure that they will be able to see what the problem is and block it. What is hte Send a Text feature that you are referring to? Are you talking about sending a text via AT&T's web site or from their home computer? If so, then the text wouldn't be coming from their wireless number. Let me know. Thanks. DebiN

QUESTION: I am talking about a text via AT%26T's website. You have to put in your number that much I know and I still keep getting texts.

Answer
If you requested that you not receive texts from certain numbers, then unless they are sending them from a different number, you should not be getting them. There isn't a way around this. Are the the exact numbers that you have blocked? Please let AT&T know right away because something may have happened to the list you created on their site and they are not being blocked. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
