Cellular Phones/changing phone @ on sim card

Question
I lost my job and my phone was paided for buy old employer.I have my on cell and want to us my old sim card that has all my phone # on it but need my new # to be put on the old sim card.The sim  card will work in my new as I have already tryed it but has my old cell # which I want to change
My phone is a Motorola v360.

You can't use an old SIM card when the phone number has been cancelled. You can't change the number either. If your employer did not cancel your number, then the SIM card will still work. But unless you own the number (not your employer), you cannot change the number. Your employer has the rights to your number and unless they release it to you, it's still theirs. Now, if you own the number and they just paid you back for it, that's another story. But if the number is in their name, you cannot have it or change it. It belongs to them. All you need to do is to get a new number and the SIM comes with it. You don't need anything with your old number. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
