Question
new ENV3 cell from verizon doesn't show contact list on my car's bluetooth - pd $500 in 07 for bluetooth device in car; mercedes states must now upgrade bluetooth for it to work with new phones ; can't believe that's the case; is there any phone out there that will work with my car's bluetooth device - specifically, will let me access the contact list on the screen, the name of the caller (if in my contact list) will appear, etc.
thank you

Answer
What Mercedes is telling you is completely correct. The bluetooth version of your car is not compatible with the new phone you have and that is why it can't support the features that you are wanting it support. They aren't pulling your leg and are telling you the truth. I know you paid the extra money back in 2007, but unfortunately, bluetooth changed and was improved and this rendered many car's complete bluetooth experience less than satisfactory. If I were you, I wouldn't pay anymore and just use it for the speaker portion and use voice dialing or speed dialing from the phone. Otherwise, you can pay to have it upgraded. Just a thought. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
