Cellular Phones/iPhone MMS offered now?

Question
QUESTION: Why after 3 years, the iPhone finally gets MMS. It doesn't make any sense, with a phone with all "features" don't have MMS. Something to do with AT&T or Apple?

ANSWER: MMS was evidently not a major requirement of the iPhone and Apple made the decision not to include it. It has nothing to do with AT&T or any other carrier. I would assume that the changes made to the iPhone were the result of many requests and Apple decided to add it. To tell you the truth, it's hardly necessary considering sending an email is a much better way to send than MMS, so it wasn't as though something was really missing. With all iPhones requiring unlimited data plans, the email was no extra charge, but MMS is. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN

QUESTION: Most people would want to MMS their friends with pictures, or videos taken with their cellphones because much easier. Also, people with non Blackberry or no iPhones will have to pay for email (data) if they attach pictures or video. Your opinion?

Answer
You are correct that a lot of people like to send pictures and videos to friends, however, if you have an iPhone, you have to have a data plan and you can send via email to your friend's MMS address so that it will get to them the same way it would have if you had sent via MMS. So, from the iPhone itself, it doesn't matter. And your friends can send to your iPhone email via MMS also, so that would be the same thing. Since you have to pay extra for MMS (and it is not part of the iPhone data plan), it just makes sense to send and receive via email with an iPhone. Thanks. DebiN
