Question
i want to take my phone with for travel in the states, but then i'm going to australia, i don't beleive it has been unlocked for overseas calling but is it still possible that i could call/ receive calls.  i will not need it when i'm in australia just worried about receiving calls from the states while there

Answer
You can only receive or make calls abroad if you have your carrier enable international roaming. It's not about unlocking, it's about the service. Your carrier has to have a roaming agreement with a carrier in Australia and if you have Verizon or Sprint and don't own a WorldPhone, it won't work. If T-Mobile or AT&T is your carrier, you can use your phone in Australia, if international roaming is enabled. Be aware that calls that you receive or make will be billed at a per minute rate of well over $1.00 a minute. Check with your carrier for the rates. I hope this helps. Thanks. debin
