Cellular Phones/prepaid phones

Question
Hi, We are looking for a prepaid plan that uses Verizon as the carrier.  Verizon wants $.25 a minute there must be a lower cost service without paying an access fee. We are not big cell phone users and right now are paying a lot for service we do not use.  Verizon is the only carrier that services the areas we are interested in.
Thanks

Answer
Your only option is to find out in your area who the resellers of Verizon service are. If you go to a cell phone store in your town (not a Verizon store), you may be able to determine the resellers there. Resellers always sell prepaid service. Tracfone usually sells GSM service (T-Mobile and AT&T), but there are some areas where Tracfone resells Verizon (and they are about $0.10 a minute). You won't get less expensive than $0.10 a minute with anyone. Check out your local Walmart (if there is one in your area) or any place that sells prepaid and whomever they use should work with Verizon in your area if they are the carrier that is predominant there. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
