Question
Hello Debi, hope you can help please, i want add a new number to my speed dial on my mobile phone, there are already 9 preset speed dial numbers in the phone numbered 1 through 9, which are already assigned to different things like, voicemail, directories, etc. but i would like to delete one of these and insert a new number as number 1 speed dial, can you please help, many thanks, the present speed dial numbers are greyed out

Answer
The number 1 is used for voice mail, so I wouldn't delete that one. If you want to use one of the other numbers, then simply go into your address book under the the entry for one of the contacts that has been assigned the number you want to use and then go into Edit and you will see where the speed dial is associated. Just delete that and then you will be able to assign that speed dial to another number. If you still have trouble with this, you can view the manual for this phone on line at www.motorola.com. Just search for your phone and you will see the on-line manual. I hope this helps. thanks. DebiN
