Question
Dear Debin, help me plz.  I have a moto q 9c on sprint.  I've had this phone for year and a half and all the while it was password protected.  One day it froze on me because wm was running programs like calunot.exe and and various others. After about an hour of this it started functioning again.  At this point i shut the phone off then powered it back up again.  When the phone prompted me for my password i enter the same password i have always used and it would not accept it.  tried this several times.  i'm now up to 4 hours wait in between it allowing me to reenter another password.  i know how to perform a hard reset but i did not backup my info (contacts) so that's not an option for me.  There has got to be another way to get by this password protection.  My Q  is nuts, i did nothing to cause this.

Answer
The password should not have changed, so I have no idea why the device is not taking your password. I would recommend turning it off again and then turning it back on to see if it will work again. If it doesn't, I'm afraid that there probably isn't any way to fix this other than a a reset. You can try a soft reset first before doing a hard reset. I'll keep my fingers crossed very hard for you. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
