Cellular Phones/dropped phone in dish water; phone works, screen doesn't...

Question
I dropped my phone in a sink full of dishwater almost a week ago. The phone itself is working, but the screen gone & stayed completely white. I just recently got this cellphone & did not have insurance on it. The internal water damage sticker has turned red, which is why I haven't taken it to a dealership yet. Is it too late to try to fix it? Or should I just cut my losses & get a new phone?

Answer
I wish that I had better news for you, but unfortunately, water damage invalidates a warranty so once that sticker turned red, it was too late for the phone. No need to take it into your provider, they won't repair or replace a phone with water damage. You may want to consider insurance on your next phone if you think it might happen again. I hope this helps and sorry that I didn't have better news for you. Thanks. DebiN
