Question I currently have Verizon Prepaid Cell phone for our family but I am intrested in getting into Metro pcs plan bec of the unlimited Texts and int. Calls, also Verizon charges a daily fee everytime u use your phone. Does Metro pcs have this charge? And how can I find out if my current phine is compatible to Metropcs?
Answer As of yesterday, Verizon just lowered the cost of their unlimited voice plan (with contract) down to $69.99. If you have a family plan, then it's only $119.99 for two lines and then $49.99 for each additional line up to 5 in total. Considering that MetroPCS is $50.00 and Verizon has a much more extensive network and coverage, I might suggest staying with Verizon and moving to the new unlimited plan. The text plan for the family is only $30.00 for everyone (up to 5 users). If you really want to go to MetroPCS, then know that there is not a daily fee (nor is there one with Verizon post-paid plans). The daily fee is only with carrier's prepaid non-contract plans. Your current phones are likely not compatible with MetroPCS, but if you want to pay someone to flash them to MetroPCS, all Verizon phones are potentially compatible, if flashed and if the company flashing it has a compatible image for it. You are much, much better off just getting a new phone that was originally intended for Metro since you won't have to worry about issues with the phone. In the long (and short) run, it's less expensive to do this. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
