Question
I have a Tracfone Motorola W370 and am interested in switching to an AT&T GoPhone (either a Samsung A177 or LG Neon). Can I simply place my sim card from the Tracfone in the GoPhone? Can I place my sim card from the Tracfone in any unlocked phone (prepaid or not)

Unfortunately, your Tracfone SIM will not work in a GoPhone. The GoPhone is locked to AT&T and requires an AT&T SIM card in order to work. You can use your Tracfone SIM in any SIM unlocked GSM phone and it should work for voice and text. Unlocked is unlocked so it doesn't matter if it was originally designed for prepaid or post-paid. As long as it works on the GSM bands of 850 and 1900 and is SIM unlocked, your Tracfone SIM will work. You will not be able to track your minutes used, however. That is only possible with the phone you purchased with your Tracfone SIM or another Tracfone phone. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
