Question
I have a MetroPCS phone, its a Blackberry Curve.. I was wondering if I would be able to use it with my AT&T plan.. I have been with AT&T and my brother gave me his MetroPCS phone. Would I be able to use the Blackberry Curve from MetroPCS with my AT&T plan.  I know Metro phones do not have SIM cards.. so I was wondering..

Answer
Your MetroPCS BlackBerry works on the CDMA network from MetroPCS. It is unfortunately not compatible in any way with AT&T. AT&T uses a GSM network and you can only use a GSM device with AT&T service. It's not just about SIM cards, it's about the type of network. I would recommend giving your brother back the Curve unless you want to switch to MetroPCS service. If you decide to get an AT&T BlackBerry, be aware that you will need both a voice and BlackBerry data plan (the BlackBerry data plan is $30.00 a month) in order to use this device on AT&T's network. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
