Cellular Phones/Upload iTunes on the EnV 3

Question

My EnV 3
Last week, I just received my EnV 3 in the mail and I was wondering how to get some cool ringtones without the hidden fees. Earlier, I was thinking of iTunes and how many great songs that I could just download from there. Is it possible? I have a PC and we have iTunes of course so do I need any special cords or whatever just to upload the music?

Answer
Unfortunately, it's not possible to download iTunes anything onto an EnV3 because it is not compatible with the iTunes format. Only phones that are compatible with iTunes can handle iTunes music and/or ringtones. The only way to download compatible ringtones to a Verizon phone without paying the fees (they aren't actually hidden, they tell you that you have to pay for them) is by attempting to use the program BitPim. Look it up and then look up your device and see if you want to risk using it. It's very easy to screw up your phone if you download something that isn't intended to work on your phone and especially if the device is under warranty (which your is for the next year), I honestly wouldn't do anything that could potentially invalidate the warranty. I know you want cool ringtones, but I would recommend paying the fee and getting them through Verizon. Same with music, you will need to use VCast for music. You can get the USB cable to be able to get music via your computer with the Verizon software, or you can download the music through the network. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
