Cellular Phones/blue tooth

Question
QUESTION: my new t mobile cell phone( blue tooth built in) wont recognize my blue tooth ( motorola )

ANSWER: If your cell phone and bluetooth headset are compatible, put your cell phone into the bluetooth mode first and then put your headset into the discovery mode (the light should be solid). Once it's in this mode, then go back to your phone and have it search for your headset. Once it discovers the headset, then put in the password of 0000 and the two will be paired. If you just turn on your headset, it won't work. You have to put it into the pairing mode (depending on the model, it will either be a different color that the flashing blue or it will be a solid color, but it won't be the standard flashing). If you can't remember how to put it into the pairing mode, go on line and look up the model and it will show you in the user instructions. If you don't know how to put your phone into the discovery mode, you can find that on line also in the manual. Just go into the section on bluetooth and it will tell you. Remember that the steps are: start with the phone and turn on bluetooth, then put the headset into pairing mode, then have the phone discover the headset, then put in the password and you are ready to go. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN

QUESTION: ok thank you, actually i did that and it worked .. after some minutes i tried to pair it with my computer and it worked too. But then it didnt work with my phone and i tried going back to my computer and disconnected it in the computer. still it didnt work with my phone so then i deleted the device from my computer and tried to reconnect with my phone but it is giving me a message as:" the device is TIME out ". So, i deleted the device from my phone and tried to re- pair it , when my phone found the device i clicked it to pair , but still it gave me that same message.. its time out.. So, what can i do ?.. do i have to set any time or what should I do ???  Thank you  so much for your reply.

Answer
I believe that you may be doing some of this backwards. The phone can discover the headset and the phone can discover the computer, but you won't likely be able to get the computer to discover the phone. The device being discovered has to be in the pairing mode and the other device has to discover it. If you are seeing that the device is timing out, it is because there's nothing for it to discover. I would recommend sticking to pairing the phone and the headset. I'm not sure what you are wanting to do via bluetooth between your computer and your phone because there aren't too many things that can be done via bluetooth to your computer. There's nothing to set as it relates to the timeout. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
