Cellular Phones/e71 clone

Question
hi i have bought an e71 clone from ebay. it said it was unlocked but every SIM i put in seems to be ok for a while then comes up with inactive SIM. also the IMEI number under the battery does not match the number that comes up when i press *#06#. could this have anything to do with it. supposed to be dual sim but only comes up with one IMEI number (my other dual sim comes up with 2 numbers)

Answer
It's very likely that either the radio antenna or the SIM slot on the phone (more likely the radio antenna) is broken or damaged. That is typically what happens when you get a message about the SIM like that, especially sporadically. The whole IMEI thing also makes it suspect, I'm sorry to say. Doesn't sound like something you are likely going to be able to fix. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
