Question
I found a metro pcs cell phone, and I also use metropcs. I like the phone better than the one I have,When I try to switch phones, it confused me on what to do, because one metro said i can take it to a store and have them put a new esn number. and another place said i can not.

Answer
ESN numbers are unique to a phone. You can take it to a MetroPCS store and ask them to switch your number to the new phone and if the phone has a clear ESN (meaning that the person who lost it cancelled their service and/or had the phone cleared), then you can use the new phone. If the new phone has been reported lost or stolen then the ESN is not clear and MetroPCS will not allow you to activate it. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
