Question
I have been trying to reach a friend in Tampa but everytime I try to call him,I get a message that says PSL01,your call cannot be completed as dialed please check the number and try again later.I dial the area code everytime I call and was wondering what could be wrong. His number is a Bradenton number and he has Metropcs phone service. I am not sure what make and model his phone is although he did purchase a new phone called Motorola Hint but I am not sure if ever had it activated. Could he be out of range inorder to call him or is his number disconnected? He did previously state to me that he did have problems with his old phone which is why he purchased another one. Any information you can give will be of great help to me.Also if it helps, I also have Metropcs as my service provider and a Blackberry 8830.Thank-you.

Answer
Fortunately, the make and model of phone and the carrier doesn't make a difference with the situation you are asking about. If you get that message, then his number is not in service as an active number. Perhaps when he purchased a new phone, he wound up getting a new number. I would recommend trying to find another way to contact him (maybe email?) to validate the number. If he is out of range, you wouldn't get that message, so it is very likely that either you may have an error in the number or that he has a new number. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
