Cellular Phones/Blackberry Tour

Question
I recently used my (US Cellular issued) BB tour in New Zealand - bought a Vodafone SIM card down there.  Had to change a few settings on my phone, and make a few technical calls to Vodafone, but eventually sorted it out.  Did not get a data plan, but discovered by inserting a +1 in front of all numbers in my contact list, including NZ and international, that I could text everyone while I was there.  Since returning to the US, and removing the SIM Card and reverting back to US Cellular settings, but leaving the +1 on all contact numbers, I can still text folks in NZ, other countries, and the US, but the UK numbers don't receive my replies.  I get their texts, but they don't receive mine.  Is there a setting on my BB Tour that I need to change now that I'm back in the US?

Answer
Make sure that you have the proper codes in front of the folks for the UK, ie, if you added them while you were there, they aren't set up properly for texting from home. You will need to put in the +44 and then the rest of the number, whereas when you were there, you dialed them differently. Hope this helps.
