Hi I have insurance on my plan for my verizon wireless phone. Well last month I bought a verizon phone from someone on craigslist in perfect condition. I am still paying for insurance. Today I dropped my phone and the inside screen is cracked. Can I still file a claim through the insurance.
The insurance is for the phone that you bought from Verizon and got insurance on. If you have the phone you have insurance on, you can make a claim on that phone. You can't make a claim on the Craigs List phone, it is not the one that is insured. When you changed to the Craig's List phone, that should have invalidated the insurance. If you are truly still paying insurance, you can try to say you lost the phone and pay the deductible and make a claim. It's worth a try, but I'm still concerned that you don't really have insurance if you didn't get the phone from Verizon. They don't insure phones that they don't provide. I hope it works, though.
