i got a phone from my brother that was given to him by his ex-girlfriend
who's real name i dont know. i want to turn the service off n get my own
plan but its under her name n i cant get in contact with her. how can i
do it?
Can't do it. The ex girlfriend has to let the carrier know that she is no longer using the phone and clear the ESN number. Once the ESN is cleared, then you could activate service in your name. Even if you knew her name, you still couldn't do anything. The phone and number still belong to her.
