Question
I can't seem to be able to check my inbox text messages. it shows that I have 4 new unread messages but when I go into my inbox it just asks me to "create" a message. is there something i can do to reboot the system or something i may have accidently changed that is preventing me from Reading these messages?

Answer
Motorola phones are notorious for this. You can remove the battery and then see if you have the same issue and if that doesn't work, you can completely reset the phone (but would actually lose everything including contacts etc., so I doubt you want to do that). That is actually the only way to completely clear them. Are you sure that the messages are text and are not instant messaging or MMS messages or voice mails? There are different indicators that may look like there are text messages that may not be. You likely don't have unread messages and if you go down the list of all messages that are saved, some may show as unread. This happens sometimes also.
