Cellular Phones/Can't power up

Question
QUESTION: I have a Nokia 6350 cell phone( 8 month old)  on ATT wireless. It was working fine yesterday but wouldn't power up today. Tried charging battery but didn't even show if it was charging. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

ANSWER: dave, i would suggest a couple of things.  first, if you are close to a corporate owned att store, take the phone there for some technical help.  they can figure out if it's the charger, then phone, or the battery.  unless you've unlocked it and it's with tmobile or another gsm carrier.  anyway, since it's 8 months old you are entitled to your 1 year warranty.  depending on where you live you may be able to get a warranty exchange at a local location and the corporate store can let you know that.  otherwise if you are not near a corporate store, call the att warranty line at 800.801.1101, they will send you another phone with a box to ship back your faulty one, all at no charge pending there is no physical or liquid damage to the phone.  hope this helps.

QUESTION: Thanks for the input Denny. I took your advice and went to the ATT corporate store. They checked the phone and said it might be the battery but they had none (???). But they also said if it is the phone, the warranty won't apply because a little sticker on the battery turned pink which they say means the unit got wet. I can tell you that this phone never got wet to the best of my knowledge. Is this sticker so sensitive that it might have sensed high Florida humidity?

Answer
Dave, you are correct, the humidity could have easily turned the sticker.  do you have insurance on the phone?  also, make the call into customer care anyway and explain the issues you are having and the fact that you are in Florida.  They may have some sort of policy or procedure regarding your situation.  Good luck.
