Cellular Phones/Sending text to another service provider

Question
I have AT&T and I have been trying to text someone with a Metro PCS phone. I receive their texts and when I reply they tell me that they never get mine. I have texted other people who also have Metro PCS and I have no problem texting them or receiving their texts. Can you tell me what might be happening?

Answer
If the person you are texting has recently changed carriers, that is the problem. I would recommend that you delete them from your address book then have them send you a text. From that text, add them back into your address book and then reply to them. I'll bet that they get the text. The issue is likely that when they were with another carrier, you were texting them and it thinks they are still with the old carrier when you send to them. This is very common. I hope this helps.
