QUESTION: I live in Europe and my carrier is Monaco telecom, the problem is that the SIM card works in other phones but not on this one and I know that the phone used to work fine with previous German carrier which probably code-it out in order not to use with different carriers, so what am looking if there is any code to unblock?

Thanks.

Answer
If the phone is locked to the German carrier, then you would need find someone to SIM unlock the phone. SIM unlocking when performed by someone who doesn't have the code and is in essence breaking the code, is not really a wise idea, because of the potentially to permanently damage the phones. People who have this equipment do it, and charge a fee, but they are not authorized to do this by either the carriers or the phone manufacturers. You can search the internet to find someone to unlock it, type SIM unlock Nokia 1661 and you should be able to find someone. I don't recommend anyone for this because I am not aware of anyone authorized to do it. That would be your only option. I hope this helps. Thanks. DebiN
