Question
My b/f recently misplaces his Samsung Caliber phone from MetroPCS, he has insurance so we called the insurance company, paid the deductible and they sent us a new phone. We now found his old Caliber, I have Metro and want to connect my number to his old Caliber. Would Metro know that we had the phone replaced through the insurance company? Or would I just be able to connect the phone calling the Metro 800 number and just switch the ESN number? I want to make sure nothing bad will happen if I try to do any of the above, would really apprecite your help. Thanks.

Answer
If you try to activate the lost phone, Metro PCS won't allow it because in their system, it shows as belonging to your friend and as lost or stolen. So if you try to activate it, their system will prohibit it - guaranteed. The only way to activate it is if your friend calls MetroPCS and tells them herself that she found the phone and now wants to have it cleared so that you can use it. No other way around this, I can assure you . I hope this helps. Thaks. DebiN
